Gut microbiome in Type 2 Diabetes, UAE case-control
84 gut metagenome samples from adults in the United Arab Emirates, comparing individuals with type 2 diabetes (n=40) to healthy controls (n=44) using nanopore sequencing in a case-control design. machine-written summary

- Functional alterations and predictive capacity of gut microbiome in type 2 diabetes. 2023 PMID 38104165 PMC10725451 own_data
Archive description
The gut microbiome plays a significant role in the development of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM), but the functional mechanisms behind this association merit deeper investigation. In this study we used nanopore sequencing technology for metagenomic analysis to compare the gut microbiome of individuals with T2DM (n=40) to that of healthy controls (n=44).
