92 of 92 people sampled more than once (447 samples; median 4, up to 8 per person) · follow-up median 5.0 y (max 5.0 y) · median interval between samples 6 mo(time from timepoint labels).
Schedule stated by the source: “timepoint attribute: infants at 3-6 days, 3 weeks, 2, 6, 12, 18, 24 and 60 months; mothers (M ids) at 3rd trimester and 2 months” (time origin: birth).
Each row is one person (36 shown of 92); dots are samples at days since that person's first sample; rows of one family are adjacent and coloured by role (mother, father, child, twin).
46 mother–infant dyads linked by host_subject_id (<n>M/<n>B; 92 people); 100 samples lack an id; ENA states 56 dyads · 46 families with 92 sampled people (46 with a parent and a child).
46 × mother + child
motherchild · circles are people (pale = no sequenced sample), arrows run donor → recipient and parent → child, curved lines join twins, partners and siblings, squares are shared settings or families without recorded roles. Shown: 24 of 46 families (one per family structure, then more). 92 people in the project overall.

Archive description
ALADDIN is a prospective birth cohort study that focuses on the impact of lifestyle and environmental factors during pregnancy and childhood on the development of allergic disease. To study the role of gut microbiota in the developement of allergic disease, faecal samples from 56 mother-infant dyads were shot-gun sequenced.
