  • Improving immune-related health outcomes post-cesarean birth with a gut microbiome-based program: A randomized controlled trial. PMID 40898384 PMC12405607 curated
Details
Archive description

The gut microbiome is proposed to play a crucial role in infant health. Infants born via Cesarean section often have a distinct gut microbiome with higher risks of atopic and immune-related conditions when compared to vaginally-delivered infants. This study evaluated a microbiome-based program's impact on gut microbiome composition and microbiome-associated health outcomes in C-section-born infants.
