Bullous pemphigoid (BP) is an autoimmune blistering skin disorder with significant morbidity and a rising global incidence. Emerging evidence suggests a role for gut microbiota (GM) dysbiosis in BP pathogenesis, yet little is known about its functional consequences or therapeutic modulation. This study aims to elucidate GM alterations in BP patients, explore functional impairments, and evaluate the efficacy of current therapies in restoring microbial balance.
