Gut microbiome, SARS-CoV-2 vaccine response in PLWH, Sweden
114 gut metagenome samples from Sweden, from people living with HIV and healthy controls (89 adults, 25 elderly), examining links between microbiome metabolic pathways, resistome, and SARS-CoV-2 vaccine immunogenicity; cross-sectional design. machine-written summary

Archive description
The study highlights a link between microbiome dysbiosis and the immune response to SARS-CoV-2 vaccination, suggesting an interplay between the gut microbiome and immune status in people living with HIV. We investigated how vaccine immunogenicity correlates with the differential abundance of microbiota-driven metabolic pathways and alterations in resistome patterns in both PLWH and healthy controls.
