Archive description

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a major metabolic disorder associated with alterations in the gut microbiome. This project generated whole-metagenome shotgun sequencing data from fecal samples collected from individuals with T2DM and healthy controls. The study aims to characterize taxonomic and functional changes in the gut microbiome and to identify microbial signatures associated with T2DM. The resulting dataset provides a resource for investigating host-microbiome interactions, microbial biomarkers, and microbiome-related mechanisms involved in metabolic diseases.
