Details
Archive description

Fecal samples were collected from patients with moderate to severe major depressive disorder before and after treatment, as well as from a healthy control group. The fecal microbiota was analyzed using the NovaSeq 6000 platform. The obtained sequencing data were preprocessed and then subjected to de novo assembly. Non redundant Unigene sets were generated through gene prediction. Species level taxonomic information was obtained by aligning the Unigenes against the NR meta database, followed by alpha and beta diversity analyses. The Unigenes were also aligned against functional databases such as GO and KEGG to obtain annotation information. Finally, abundance statistics and differential comparisons of the fecal microbiota were performed at the taxonomic, functional annotation, and Unigene levels, and GO and KEGG enrichment analyses were conducted for the differentially expressed Unigenes.
