longitudinal
17 of 37 people sampled more than once (34 samples; median 2, up to 2 per person) · follow-up median 3 mo (max 3 mo) · median interval between samples 3 mo (time from visit codes mapped to the stated schedule). Schedule stated by the source: “Fecal samples collected before FMT and 12 weeks after FMT treatment per patient” (time origin: intervention_start); stated follow-up 3 mo.
Each row is one person (17 shown); dots are samples at days since that person's first sample.

- Prospective Study Reveals Host Microbial Determinants of Clinical Response to Fecal Microbiota Transplant Therapy in Type 2 Diabetes Patients. 2022 PMID 35402293 PMC8990819 own_data
Archive description
Increasing evidence shows that alterations in the normal gut microbiome (GM) contribute to the development of type 2 diabetes (T2D) and fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) from a healthy donor can lead to restoration of healthy gut flora for treating various diseases. However, whether FMT therapy can bring any benefits to T2D patients remains unknown. Here we conduct a perspective cohort study to evaluate clinical outcomes in 17 T2D patients following FMT.
