longitudinal
125 of 125 people sampled more than once (375 samples; median 3, up to 3 per person) · follow-up median 56 d (max 2 mo) · median interval between samples 30 d (time from collection dates). Schedule stated by the source: “stool at baseline (Day 0), Week 2 (Day 14), and Week 8 (Day 56) of dietary intervention” (time origin: intervention_start); stated follow-up 56 d.
Each row is one person (36 shown of 125); dots are samples at days since that person's first sample.
Genera, mean relative abundance over 351 profiled gut samples of this project (Sandpiper SingleM profiles, GTDB R232; low-depth and non-metagenome profiles left out).

Archive description
Hypercholesterolemia is becoming a problem with increasing significance. Dietary vegetable oils may help to improve this condition due to presence of phytonutrients with potentially synergistic cholesterol-lowering effects. The objective of this 8-week double-blinded randomized clinical trial was to investigate the effects of consuming 30 grams of two different blended cooking oils, rich in omega-3 alpha-linolenic acid and phytonutrients, or refined olive oil on the intestinal microbiota in 126 volunteers with borderline hypercholesterolemia.
